Free training - compassionate community ambassadors Plymouth
Plymouth is becoming a flagship UK Community in its development of the Compassionate Plymouth City Initiative, in association with Charter for Compassion International.
Training has recently taken place for 20 local people to become Compassionate Community Ambassadors (scroll down for details). Additional training is available for members of organisations that would like to become partners of Compassionate Plymouth and Charter for Compassion International.
Our Big Lottery-funded CCA training is now complete but the compassionate community of Compassionate Community Ambassadors and partners is just beginning. Please get in touch if you would like to find your place in Compassionate Plymouth as it continues to grow within the global compassion movement.
HEART in the Community
Opportunity for local people to be part of Plymouth’s Compassionate Community Initiative
Hope in the Heart cic has received Big Lottery funding to train groups in Plymouth (with a particular focus on Devonport and Stonehouse) and London, to be Compassionate Community Ambassadors, as part of Charter for Compassion International’s Compassionate Community Initiatives in these areas. Focus will be on self-compassion and empathic connection for personal and community development. Workshops aim to be informal and fun. Free places available for people living, volunteering and/or working in Plymouth who would like to make positive change in their lives and communities. A course for women (three one-day creative workshops in Devonport) is currently underway, with 17 participants. There will be two-day mixed training to be CCAs and mentors of the Virtues Project in November - see below. Booking essential. Cake and laughter guaranteed! Previous participants said: “Brilliant course, so enjoyed it. Would have loved it to be longer” “..this is life-transforming and equally, I believe, could also transform communities” Please contact Tam Martin Fowles [email protected]
