Welcome! Hope in the Heart is a social enterprise whose highly-skilled staff and directors all have lived experience of mental health and associated issues. We are committed to using our personal experience to support others who may be struggling, inform and educate people in power and influence positive change.
We do this by providing free creative community workshops in South London, training and events nationally and internationally, and a unique collection of art created by our workshop participants which regularly features in our Messages from the HeART exhibitions in collaboration with partner organisations. Our April exhibition in Brixton, London, followed the amazing Plymouth launch in 2022 and, once again, was a huge success. We have had several smaller exhibitions in Plymouth and London with venues including the University of Central London (UCL), the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Devonport Guildhall and Ocean Studios, Royal William Yard. The exhibition is available for hire at conferences and other events.
Free workshops are currently taking place at International House, Brixton and Battersea Arts Centre (info and dates here) and we are planning more exhibitions and performance events in the near future. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries and visit this page for more information about the project and events and this page to see more of the artwork featured at the exhibitions.
