Free workshops for women and mixed groups
This Autumn and Winter, Hope in the Heart has used funding from the Big Lottery to train people in London and Plymouth to become Compassionate Community Ambassadors, committed to modeling and promoting compassionate action in their communities. Some of the workshops were for women only, others for mixed groups.
Plymouth is currently progressing as a lead Compassionate Community in the UK, in association with Charter for Compassion International.
London citizens and organisations are also uniting to begin the creation of a Compassionate London Initiative. The CCA workshops have been attended by local people in both areas whose vision includes compassionate action as a tool for radical personal and social change.
Tam is working with Charter Partner organisations in both Plymouth and London, and keen to engage more individuals who would like to collaborate in growing their compassionate communities as Compassionate Community Ambassadors/Pioneers.
